Well, it’s finally done —
Azure’s Revenge,3rd in the Dark Web series is now available on Amazon. Released on Black Friday, this is the 3rd book I’ve published this year. I’m currently working on the 4th book in the Dark Web series, which doesn’t have a title right now.
Just as with the other books in the series, including Buried Ladies and Scars of the Past, Book 4 deals with serious threats to national security, threatening to wipe out the United States as we know it, a theme started in Azure’s Revenge.
Book 4 is more of a thriller than the first 3 books since we really don’t know what’s going on until we’re about a quarter of the way into the book. In earlier books, the first few chapters showed exactly what threat the FBI was facing. I wanted to stir things up a little in this book, which may be the last in the series before I start another series.
Azure’s Revenge
Azure’s Revenge posits a situation that’s all too real–our vulnerability to biological terrorism. With gene splicing, the prospect of someone creating a superbug capable of evading our natural immunity and resistant to common antibiotics is all too real. Even without the interference of terrorists, bacteria and viruses mutate at an alarming rate, giving rise to superbugs that are increasingly difficult to treat.
The story plot could have been ripped from the headlines, at least in part. It is full angst and a drive for power by those who are not happy with the way the US is going. They hate rising levels of diversity and the tolerance of liberals for alternative lifestyles.
The FBI, headed by John Boyd and Jacob Mainz, who manages the cyber sleuths, try to stop the plot before millions of people are infected and die from the disease concocted by Azure Nightshade in hidden tunnels under her apartment in Anacostia. They are only able to decrypt a small amount of text in messages exchanged between her and The Angel of Death. Will they be able to translate the messages in time?
Latest news from Angela Hausman, Author
So, things are moving at a brisk pace. In addition to attending the Scars of the Past Launch party, we have lots of exciting things going on.
- Azure’s Revenge, the 3rd book in the Dark Web series, published on Black Friday. You’ll get to see many of your old friends from Books 1 and 2, and meet some quirky (and sinister) new ones. I’d love to get more readers and reviews for this book.
- Book 4, which is currently untitled, is well underway. It carries on the tradition of having the FBI cyber unit work to save the country from death and destruction.
- If you’ve already purchased (or received a gifted copy) of Buried Ladies or Scars of the Past, please consider writing an honest review (use the links below). And, if you didn’t like it, please send me specific comments so I can improve the next book. If you don’t have a copy yet, you can buy them here:
