Good. You found me. And, my buried ladies.
I’m so excited to share “Buried Ladies” with you. Hopefully, you’ve already read the first chapter.
Every couple of weeks, I’ll release a new chapter so you can join the adventure of Sally and Jim as they work to save Estella from the Gulf Cartel. The adventure spans the Mexican border and involves mystery, murder, and the dark web. Subscribe for access to future chapters.
I’d love to hear your comments and suggestions for plot twists. Or comments about things I got wrong. I lived in the Rio Grande Valley for 6 years, so I have some experience with the context of the novel, but you might know something I got wrong. I’d love to hear it.
Next, consider contributing to my Kickstarter campaign. Publishing and promoting a book is expensive, plus, I’ve taken a leave from work to write. All need your money to help fund the completion of the book and the beginning of the next one.
Finally, if you can help promote the book, you have my undying gratitude. It’s really hard to get a publisher or agent interested in a new author. Anything you can do to help would be wonderful.
I’ve created a community on this site, plus I have Facebook and Twitter accounts and would love to have you join me there to provide feedback or see what we’re up to.
I created a video for Kickstarter to give folks more insights into me and the book. I thought you’d like to see it, so, here you are:
About me:
I’ve always wanted to write. As a teenager, I wrote a series of short stories and produced a play with fellow middle-schoolers based on the first issue. It was great fun.
Then, I went to college and minored in writing. I learned a lot about crafting a novel and wrote for the school paper.
After college, work, 3 kids, 2 husbands (not at the same time), 2 graduate programs, dogs, mortgages, cats, boyfriends (after I kicked out the husbands — marriage just wasn’t for me), and miscellaneous other distractions, I only wrote (a lot) for work – I was a professor at various universities, including one in the Rio Grande Valley were our story is set.
Finally, I decided enough and started writing ‘Buried Ladies‘ and I’m open to suggestions over this working title. I really like it and I hope you do 2.
I’ve learned a lot during this process so I’m starting to outline my next one about someone hacking into the military’s wearables program and killing soldiers. In the Kickstarter, you’ll have the opportunity to name characters or become a part of the book, for the right price.
Thanks. And be sure to subscribe.
